Private Swim Lessons
The Fremont Family YMCA offers members the option of enrolling their child(ren) in private swim lessons. These lessons are for Y members only and need to be scheduled directly with the Dillon Family Aquatics Center.
Children of all ages love swimming and we'd love to help them learn to swim and/or improve their technique.
In Private Swim Lessons you will find:
- That a swimmer will proceed at their own pace. When more time is needed, more time will be given. If a swimmer moves more quickly take advantage of this! Group lessons can at times hold a swimmer back.
- A swimmer will have the full attention of the instructor for the entire lesson time. At times, when a swimmer is ready, they will proceed more rapidly because of the individualization, additional practice and repetitions during each lesson.
- An anxious swimmer can relax more due to one on one attention. An easily distracted swimmer can focus more if they are easily distracted in a group setting.
- Private lessons have more flexibility if schedules are less predictable.
Cost
Semi-Private Lessons are with 2 swimmers and 1 instructor at the same time. $225 for 5 thirty-minute lessons. (FFYMCA members)
Private lessons are $150 for five, 30-minute lessons. (FFYMCA members)

Toddler Swim Time
Toddler/Parent Swim is a fun, relaxed opportunity for families with children ages 6 months to 5 years to enjoy the water together in a safe, welcoming environment. Held from 12 PM – 1 PM on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, this free program is open to YMCA members, with non-members welcome at regular day pass rates.
Families will meet at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center, where we’ll provide pool toys and noodles, with life jackets available and access to the splash pad for even more fun. Parents or guardians must accompany their child in the water at all times and may not leave children unattended. It’s a great chance to build water comfort, enjoy quality time together, and simply splash and play.
